When editing content or extensions in Joomla and you want to see the result IRL in the template you will need to create a menu-link to the specific item you have been editing before you can see it properly.

The preview in admin backend or in the editor shows you in a light/slimbox the plain text and not in the template's layout. The plugin BetterPreview changes the url of the preview button in your Joomla! Administrator (top right) to match the item you are viewing.

While in the editing pane of Joomla and after clicking the apply button you can now click the Preview Button and the item will be shown in the real template environment without a need to create a link first
